Community Support
Committed to Our Communities
Although we are an organization founded by veterans with a strong mandate to support veterans from both the military and law enforcement it is also important to be a leader in our communities and assist others where we can.
Our Community Support Fund initiative provides an opportunity for our employees to request up to $1000 for the local community organizations and events that are important to them.
To date, we have contributed to a number of organizations, including:
- Arnaqjuaq School in Nunavut for a Berkey Water Filtration System to enhance students’ well being.
- Dene Tha’ Recreation and Cultural Society in Hay Lake to help provide youth with access with sports activities
- Edmonton Humane Society in support of their programs to help animals in the community and to provide homes to many different animals in need.
- Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue Society (ECWAR) for their rescue work in the community.
- Canadian Forces Morale & Welfare Services to support the Edmonton Garrison Community Gardens.
- Love Human Society in support of their efforts to help vulnerable populations in Edmonton and support change in people’s lives.
- Niqinik Nuatsivik Nunavut Food Bank in support of their efforts to help reduce hunger in Iqaluit and Nunavut.
- Whitecourt Cancer and Wellness Society in support of their fundraising event which raised $13,500.00 to provide resources for local cancer patients.
